Dakgalbi Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into small pieces
- 1 large sweet potato, peeled and sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 cup cabbage, sliced
- 1 cup rice cake, sliced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp mirin (Japanese sweet rice wine)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and add the vegetable oil.
- Add the chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until no longer pink.
- Add the sweet potato, onion, and cabbage and cook for another 5 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix together the gochujang, soy sauce, honey, mirin, sesame oil, and garlic.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken and vegetables and stir to combine.
- Add the rice cake and cook for another 5-7 minutes, or until the rice cake is soft and chewy.
- Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
